      Suggest it is Approximate birthday E57S100939: November 23, 1956

      Hopefully someone with the book chimes in with the value from that source.

          November 23, 1956 would be the Friday after Thanksgiving..........was the plant open?

              The seventh edition Birthday Book appears to agree with the C1 Registry. It shows #930 as the last car on Wednesday November 21/56. The 22nd appears to be a Holiday. So 939 was likely finished on Friday the 23rd.

                  The question remains - was the plant open on the Friday after Thanksgiving......? In any case John, Oct would appear to be your answer.
