    C2 Radio Slide Bar

Time has taken its toll and my selector, it went from together to apart. I ordered a Trim Parts replacement and it does not fit unless you use a Dremel to trim the piece and a drill to deepen the hole the selector shaft sits.

Anyone know a source that has a quality reproduction or a used original?

I think all of the repros are the Trim Parts product sold by the various vendors and they'll have the same problem...
Not sure where you'd find a good, used original...

You could contact Gary Tayman out of Florida - but that's a long shot... www.taymanelectrical.com

Thanks, I'll contact him. I spoke with a member that restores radios and he has the same problem with the part that I did. It needs to be trimmed and the hole needs to be made deeper.

Have you called Joe Ray? He restores radios too.

Yes, several days ago. He has the same problem with the same part.

              Harry try this place:
              Gene’s Radio Repair and Restorations
              423-877-9910

If he doesn’t have it I would call Trim Parts and tell them the problem with the part, probably are not going to do anything.
You would think with today’s tooling parts could be made correctly. Don’t get me started....

Gary, you are preaching to the choir! I called Trim Parts 20 years ago and tried to tell them there were two different 1963 glove box doors. The difference is in the configuration where the lock is inserted. I had to get the lock with the bezel to use their door. Oh well!

Mmmm.....unless you can find a "junker" with a good slide bar I'm stumped. - maybe David Sokolowski but you'll pay accordingly.
