    Looking for help 1966 cam

    I am trying to help a friend of mine with a 1966 427/450 engine rebuild
    We need info for a manufacturer / supplier of the grooved journal camshaft and lifters

    Mark, found a Comp Cam tag #11-106-3 which was what went into my 66. It states "grind number replacement for 386314(?). If I can find any other info I'll pass it along.

        Even if you get the cam without the groove, a machine shop can easily add it.

          The rear cam bearing should have 3 holes and have the groove too. Make sure the rear cam bearing is install in the proper position, if not you will have more problems.

            Speed Pro (Federal Mogul) CS-165R if you can find one. You'll have to have a machine shop machine the groove. It may also be available as a "kit" that includes the cam and a lifter set that has a different prefix, but I don't recall what it is.Duke
