What is the cut-off for early model and late model C3 cars

Hello everyone.
I have read references to early production and late production in the TIMJG. Is there a specific date or production number for a 1971 built Dec 12 1970???
Did I miss it somewhere in the manual???

Stan,
I've always thought of "early" as anywhere in the first 25%-33% of a certain model year's production.
Others may define that differently. I don't know of any strict definitions that pertain to production time periods.

There is no fixed definition of early and late. In the 70-72 JG we use it only when we're really not sure exactly when a change occurred.
Early for one part may not be early for another.
The vagueness is intentional until we gather data from yet more cars to narrow down the changeover of the affected part.
