Any way you can incorporate the coupe vs. ragtop data?

        Hi Owen,

Post #3 identifies 3 birdcages...but whether they are coupes or convertibles is not provided.

The other 4 of 7 provided are all Coupes (yours, Dan's and 2 of Terry's).

Our sample size is still very small at this point.
If more data is provided; a better picture of what might have been happening may pop out...
        thx,
        Mark

Silly thought - should we differentiate the yellow green from the olive green?
I find that the midyear cars were more olive green, but the 8XXX 1972 coupe I maintain is definitely a yellow zinc color, not the typical green zinc dichromate. Mike Ernst shows both colors in his post; the 1971 is the same yellow green as the 8XXX 1972 that has been here.

Are there then are 3 colors?

PH, not silly at all...as Captain Piccard used to say, "Make it so..."...so I did

The "Yel/Grn" tracking can be expanded to earlier years if/or when they show up...I'm thinkin' there's no sense cluttering the images w/ a bunch of zeroes at this point...

As for your '72 - to have accurate VIN correlations (I've created 500 VIN-range "bins"), I would need to have the red digit for your car 8XXX...for now, I plopped it into the 8001 to 8500 bin, but I'd like to have it correct to keep this tallying "clean"...lemme know when you get a chance, please...

PS - the data set is statistically still very small (<50), so adding one car in one bin can seem to drastically change interpretations...it would be nice to get 50 to 100 observations, but that may be a stretch...as always, let me know if there are questions or comments.

And here's a better visualization of where each car falls within the VIN Bins (Ranges)...
