Jim Sandlin (12-24-1941 to 1-27-2021)
Having been a Michigan chapter member from the very start, founding member Jim Sandlin was a most enthusiastic Corvette restorer. He loved Corvettes, Street Rods, Hot Rods, Old Drag Cars, Guns, Antiques, Hunting and Woodworking. Despite a long term of medical challenges, Jim moved forward on his projects and swap meets without complaint.
Jim served in the U.S. Navy as radarman 2nd class and earned a Masters - Business Administration from Central Michigan University. Jim retired from General Motors as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer after thirty three years of service. He was also a Real Estate Broker and a National Corvette Restorers Society Master Judge. He was a member of MHRA, NCRS, MSRA and NRA. Jim will be missed and fondly remembered by members of the NCRS.
