I’m not sure I would repair the bottom of the shroud if it fits well. Add the extension and call it good.

Just to follow up...the upper beam seems to be correct per the hole config in the attached photo...as best as I know.

Unfortunately in addition to the shroud being fully torn at the bottom...the attachment points on it for the shroud extension are ripped out...so it it needs to go in the recycle bin.

So it seems there are some "go to" specialist places around the country for things like trailing arm rebuilds etc. Being as I need ...what appears to be original radiator recored....are there places that specialize in that? Or does it even matter? Should I just find what I believe to be the "best" place in my area and call it done?
        thx

          I used someone local.

The upper reinforcement bar on your radiator "appears" to be original.
You want the local people to be sure to re-use the upper and lower reinforcement bars, as replacements do not have the rectangular cutouts you see near the end of the bars.

Also, you can likely repair your original shroud, especially since the bottom is not easy to see.

FWIW - You may want to have the rails removed from the original core and then blast them / coat them with paint on the inside prior to to having them installed on the new core.
As Patrick stated you need to be specific when asking for the work to be done esp regarding the rails.

Thanks. Good input. And by coat with paint on the inside...I presume you mean coat rails with paint all around..but with them off the core is a good opportunity to get a good paint cover on the inside that butts against the rails...in addition to painting the others sides??

Re: 69 L46 Radiator and Fan Shroud help needed

I mentioned it because the rails appear to have some rust forming - the inside of the rails are not typically painted inside and recoring is the only way to really get "inside" them to paint.
I would suggest painting the outside of the rails when the entire rad is painted as the paint on the rails will be marred or gone where it is soldered to the core and the tanks.

FWIW the pass side tank should have a letter code on one of the low ribs under the HARRISON name embossing.
I have never seen a 69 tank with anything more than a single letter code indicating month, my 69 Z28's had a D radiator - car was April built and a J for an October built.

                Below is my July 71 built LT1 with a MK9 - F1 (june 71) rad date.
