1969 Grease Cap
Does anyone know the part number for the original dimpled grease cap for a 1969 Corvette.

The original cap was GM #3953435. It was discontinued in January, 1973 and replaced by GM #6274217. The latter was discontinued in February, 1980 and replaced by GM #471162 which was discontinued without supersession in October, 1994.
None of the replacements are configured anything like the original. You'll play hell finding an original 3953435. The reproductions are as close as you are going to get. Originals were galvanized finish; reproductions are zinc plated. Most originals will be distorted from removal and re-installation over the years.In Appreciation of John Hinckley -

Attached is a photo of a pair of GM 3953435 grease caps (2 5/16" O.D.). These caps are larger than the 3775190 cap which also have a dimple.
As Joe mentioned GM # 3953435 was replaced by GM # 6274217. Grease Cap # 3984810 (used on 1970-1972 Camaro models) was also replaced by GM # 6274217 in July 1972.
This is what I have found so far on 1969-1982 Corvette grease caps.
3953435 (1969-1972)
6274217 (1973-1977)
471162 (1978)
14003444 (1979-1982)
Based on my research this is what I found on which caps were used on what Camaro model years:
3984810 - 1970-1972 Camaro
6274217 - 1973-1977 Camaro
471162 - 1978 Camaro
14003444 - 1979-1981 Camaro
