New Member: 67 L79 Holley Carb Numbers

Hi, I am a new, first time C2 owner and also brand new to NCRS. This forum is truly unbelievable, with the wealth of information, the way it is organized, but most important how generous and dedicated the members are in providing helpful replies. You are all truly furthering the hobby and the NCRS mission.

I purchased my 67 L79 Silver Pearl roadster a few months ago. It has the original driveline, largely original interior and most of the work that was done over the years appears to have been faithful to originality. It hasn't had a full restoration. I am in the process of going over each component to identify what's correct and what's not, beginning the long journey of a spare time restoration while driving it whenever I can.

Which leads me to my question: The Holley part number is 3906631-DA; LIST 3810, both believed to be correct. The Julian date is 2853, which I decipher to October 1973. Is this correct? Would this be a service replacement? Thanks!

Welcome to NCRS, good to have you here! The date code for these 4 digit Holley replacements is not definitive as to year, IIRC. So the final digit of "3" could be 1973, 1983, or 1993. But yes, it is October.

Welcome to the best TDB in the world for Corvette expertise. And, yes, that number would reflect a service replacement List 3810 Holley.

I don't have anything to add to the comments Mike and Leif made, but welcome to NCRS from another 1967 lover.

Welcome to the NCRS, to add something that may help identify the carburetor year, look at the screws holding the float bowls on to the main body and if they are slot head chances are the 3810 is a 1970's version.

The service carburetors are exact in calibration so if it runs good just leave it be and enjoy your car.

Thanks for all the replies. Yes it has slotted screws. It also runs perfectly and is in great shape cosmetically so I will leave it alone.

Haha yes you are right. It took the right car and the right deal. Yes would never give them up. Did a total frame off on the convertible. Gabe has his V8 Vega on the road life is good.
