            OK guys thanks again for your thoughts and comments. Mike the vin is 1781 and at this point I'm agreeing with your thoughts that it is a retrofitted truck block with a less than adequate attempt to "re-stamp" the pad as it shows now. I'm just going to continue to enjoy the car it runs good and despite the color change from original (supposed to be Nevada Silver) think it looks presentable. Appreciate everyone's input.
