Hey guys, I have a December 5th 1962 built 63 split window that I am doing a NCRS restoration on and need an alternator. In researching I found Chargers Auto Electric in Illinois, which has restored Corvette alternators and starters for over 30 years. They have an August 22 built alternator with diode numbers 850 & 466 positive and 851 & 466 negative. This does not match the 6th edition judging manual, which calls for 380 & 466 positive and 423 & 466 negative. When I questioned them on this, they stated that the 380 & 423 diodes were later in 63, and this one is for early cars. Can anyone confirm that this information is correct, or if it would not be correct when being judged?
Thanks,
Todd
