I have a NOS 3935577 upper reveal molding that has 10 attached tabs. All the GM parts catalogs and discussions on this forum describe this p/n to have 5 tabs not 10. The part is still in the original brown and green GM parts wrapping so I am looking for verification to identify the actual model years usage for this part. I know that it is not the first usage molding for 1968 model year but for sometime in late 1968 or early 1969 and later. It is a one piece thin molding. What is the difference in "correctness" for 5 tab versus 10 tab?

The GM #3935577 upper reveal molding was used for late 1968 convertibles, all 1969 convertibles, and all 1970-76. GM says it's supposed to have 5 tabs. However, I believe this is an error. I have 2 NOS examples of this molding [none for sale] and both have 10 tabs. This molding was discontinued without supersession in March, 1994In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
