    Siamese bored block

Has anyone had any experience with a siamese bored block driven for street or highway use? OR specifically GM casting number 10051107? I have a 509 CI that came with my 66 coupe and it seems to run great, however, I don't know (with modifications) if it is appropriate for street use.
    Thanks in advance

    Charles------

400 cubic inch small blocks of the early 70's were siamese bore. "ZL-1" aluminum big blocks are also siamese bore. They will support up to 650 HP.

Charles - A lot of articles and threads have been written about the 400 Smallblock and one of our NCRS members, Tom Parsons, has built quite a few of them. Don't know of you visit the Corvette Forum but Tom posts on there frequently and you'll find a wealth of info from his threads there too. I built a '74 Vintage 400 smallblock last year that will eventually go into my '56 Nomad.

        62 and 63 photos 008.jpg

Several years ago I had a 406 with 100 shot of nitrous in my 63. It was probably the most
fun that I had in any of my Corvettes.
