    FI/ high pressure pump rebuild.

    1965 7380 FI unit. Does the pump drive gear notch face up or down. Taken apart before I inherited it.

    The notch in the drive gear for the drive pin faces the end plate.

      Thanks for the info. Put it back together and works fine. Going into a 53 Chev convertible with a Chrysler torque flight behind it. Most lookers today have no idea what an F/I unit is.

            It's storming up here in the Sierra. It woke me and I couldn't get back to sleep. There is a nap in my future.

            I'd like to see how one one goes about mating a Chebby V8 to a TorqueFlight. And then how (or whether) to go from the TorqueFlight to the '53 Chebby torque tube.

              There are a few of us who know what one looks like.
              One of my FI units is on a Ford!

                Well, I do not have an FI unit in my 51 Chevy (my very first car), but I do have a complete 2x4 setup and a Batwing in it.
                Many people today do not know what a carburetor is, and VERY FEW know what a Batwing is!
