On Friday, 12/18, I visited a business in Central Florida that warehouses NOS and used Corvette and Camaro parts. The owner has former parts department parts catalogues for Corvettes for C-2 and C-3 year by year as well as the traditional parts catalogues for Chevrolet and GM. I was looking for a correct lower radiator hose for my C-3 project that I have asked help on this site several other times recently.
The hose currently on the car is #355347 AF. The Technical/Judging Guide lists this as correct for 1976. We looked in the 1975 Corvette (dated 1/75) parts catalogue and learned the number had been changed by GM to 355347 for 1975. We then cross-checked in the 1974 Corvette (dated 9/74) and found that the number was the 331855 as printed in the Tech/Judging guide.
Therefore it would appear that the 355347 AF became the replacement for the 74 issued 331855. Let me know your thoughts. I don't think I need to replace the hose I have on the car with the '74 version. I took pictures of the respective pages from both parts catalogues for future reference. Just thought you should know what I learned. Thanks for everyone's help and support on my journey.
