    Midyear shoulder belts

Were shoulder belts ever offered as an option on the Corvette between 1963 and 1967? Someone claims that there were some cars that were so equipped. This is news to me, but I'm always ready to learn something new about these cars. Can anyone verify if the shoulder belts exist? If so, could you provide some photos? Thanks a lot.

All 67s and maybe some late 66s have the steel plate riveted to floor for the rear belt attachment. It can be retrofitted to any C2, but the body has to be lifted about a foot off the frame to get access to the spot.

The 1966 & 1967 AIM does show the A85 Shoulder Harness pages.
An instruction card is also noted in the 'UPC 0 - C1' Misc Shipping List.

I believe all the cars built after the start of the option have the bracket installed in the car.
