Mark, just be be clear, what is the date on your trim tag? That’s is your cars official build date.

        Which maker?
It makes zero sense to date a frame after a car is built. Someone on their end isn't thinking this through, no matter what.

I would call them and explain. That's what I did for the 77 I did last year, and they made the date I wanted.
        Or choose a different vendor.

          Actually, its not.
The official date is the day it rolled off the line and was invoiced. The body build date (trim tag date) is usually 1-2 days prior to that.

exactly. trim tag is 12-28. 2 days prior to when NCRS says is the production date.

              Re: Early 69 Frame Stencil

I would pick a date in the first 2 weeks of December; the 10th as shown above would be perfect.

Just and FYI if you are already not aware, but the paint was rolled on with a small roller and not sprayed like you see on most restorations. It was done with a very cheap white enamel paint.

Mark I should have clarified....when I say “official”, that is the date that will be used on the judging field.

because it's the closest we can come without having the actual production date on the judging field.
However, we usually understand that the true production date is not the same.
