    finish for c3 door regulator assemblies, channel assemblies, door controls,

    What is the best way to preserve these pieces.
    I was thinking about clear coating the regulator and channel assemblies and using gun oil on the door controls.
    I want to keep the car as original as possible.
    The other question I have is: is it possible to keep the actuator and just replace the worn rollers? Looks like they could be replace with a rivet hammer.

    They sell a kit to do just the rollers like you mentioned.
    $27 dollars from Ecklers.

    The door window regulator rollers and rivet style studs are an important part of your C3 Corvette's window roller assembly. When these parts are missing or cracked, window operation can be impossible!  Theses will install on the end of the window regulator arms and slide into the window channels and it will repair your existing regulators easily and inexpensively. Trust Eckler's Corvette for all of your restoration, performance, and accessory needs for your 1968-1982 Chevrolet Corvette!1968-1982 (C3) Corvette Power Window Regulator Repair Rollers

      Re: finish for c3 door regulator assemblies, channel assemblies, door controls,

      Thanks Richard. I initially bought these off of e-bay (tried to save a few bucks). I was disappointed to receive wheels without the hollow center and was unhappy with the result.
      I purchased them from Ecklers and I am happy with the result. Ecklers was the way to go.

        Re: finish for c3 door regulator assemblies, channel assemblies, door controls,

        My biggest peeve is no quality control Sometimes you can tell they just don't care. I have a pile of 63 parts I can't give away.

        I just purchased a U-joint locally. Spent two days attempting to figure out what the issue was as I just couldn't get it together.
        Wondering if the snap rings were correct, did I catch a roller when assembling or were the ears collapsed?
        Bottom line;
        I went to another store and purchased another joint. Went together right away. When comparing the two there was .075 differences in the location of the snap ring grooves. (Inside snap ring style) The good one was SKF made in Mexico the other an off brand from China.
        Trust me I had other things to do but sort this out.

        Your regulators look great. Nice job.
        Rick
