Great stuff, I believe it is the same singers that did the WLS in Chicago jingles.

                  Re: 1963 Chevrolet Commercial

Back in that era TV commercials were often very entertaining and memorable, and Chevrolet had some great ones like Dinah Shore driving a Chevy convertible on that classic stretch of PCH just south of Pt. Mugu singing "See the USA in Your Chevrolet". I think it was late sixties to early seventies when a Chevrolet was "assembled" on top of a narrow mesa in the Grand Canyon with all the parts flying in from the distance!

Then there was that Alka Selzer commercial with the multiple takes... "That's-a-some speecy-meat-a-ball... Jack! Jack!... and the lonely Maytag repair man. You don't remember productions like the above for decades unless the were really memorable.

Nowadays I find most car commercials obnoxiously "in you face" and often downright stupid... same applies to the communications industry commercials and some I don't ever know what they are hawking.

About the only thing I watch on TV now is college football and March Madness... if it ever happens again, so I don't have to put up with much of the current nonsense.

Its actually worse than you state IMO, the commercials for modern cars try to get you excited about "yet another econobox" often with the car sliding sideways on a sheet of water with the steering locked to one side or cruising down a city street with awestruck admirers stopped in mid
-stride at another aesthetic train wreck. Then they delve into the idiot-proofing features like self-parking, lane deviation, cameras everywhere for those morons that insist on updating their Facebook status while driving...

Sorry - too much Sunday morning coffee.

According to the video, you could even have the electric clock in the SS models. LOL
No locking seat backs and optional seat belts (except the Corvette)
I am thinking the 1963 drivers would have a heart attack if they knew about the brake by wire system in the C8.
                      Computers have changed everything.
Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed the video.

Most commercials today show the (normal) male as a complete moron.

I do miss the old commercials, and some were not that long ago.......I bet GM would not make one like this today.....

I remember when the Dinah Shore had some kind of contest to win I think a 1954 or1955 Corvette pedal car. You had to send in a post card with your name and phone number and they had a drawing on the show. My sister and I had are fingers crossed, but of course neither one of us got picked.
