We don't appear to have a local chapter here in Georgia. Is there a service I can pay for where someone would judge my car as it is today and give me a long list of things I would need to correct before attempting an actual event?

Stan, welcome to NCRS.
I'd recommend that you download a set of judging forms for your car from this site as well as purchase the judging manuals and do a "self judging" following the manuals. Typically, you'll be more critical on yourself..... You'll uncover many items that will need attention for your list. You can then sort out the items vs points gained vs cost. Have fun!!!!!!- Top

Thank you gentlemen.
I do have the manual and the printed judging sheets, but determining correct part numbers and date codes has been challenging.
I'll keep plugging away at it.- Top

Welcome Stan. Yes best to post questions and any reference photos here for the crew to help review for you. Plenty of C3 folks here to help.
Here's the page Vinnie referenced for the GA folks. SE Chapter Contacts
Tom Beuglas, the Chapter Chairman should be able to help at some point. I know Tom and he's a great guy. Met him several years ago down here in FL when he came to look at a few Corvettes a buddy owned. I think Tom still has a shop up there and may be able to take a peek at your car there.
Rich Mauser, the SE Judging Chairman lives in Orlando FL but has been going up to GA quite often for judging events and local family stuff. Rich can help point you to good info too. We've been close Corvette buddies for many years and he's always helping folks with their needs. IIRC both Tom and Rich's areas are NE of ATL so maybe not far from where you are. If so, maybe at some point you could meet up with them.
Chuck Berge is the 70-72 Team Leader and great to work with and a great resource. He always promotes having fun and enjoyment as high priority for the process.

Stan a couple of things you will want if you don’t have is a 71 AIM manual, and the 70/72 JRM. These can help answer a lot of questions also.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Re: Curious; Does anyone do an NCRS pre-judging inspection in Georgia
Hello here are some stats on my car:350/270hp, Auto, AC,PS,PB,PW and Hard Top option.
1971 convertible,
It is a matching number engine and transmission.
Engine assembly is V1202 = Dec 2nd 1970
Body assembly is E12 = Dec 12th (Happy 50th Birthday today)
Engine Casting is K280 = Nov 27 1970
I do have the AIM and NCRS Judging and Tech manual, but the JRM is still out of stock.
I would hate to pass on this carb and not find one closer to the date in the future. I may buy it and put it on a shelf while I continue looking.Last edited by Stan B.; December 12, 2020, 02:52 PM.- Top

Re: Curious; Does anyone do an NCRS pre-judging inspection in Georgia
That is exactly what I would do if I had the money. Place a tag on it showing when and for how much so that if you have to sell it you have some idea of the amount. Having done that without the notes I have no recollection of what I paid for many of the shelf parts.Terry- Top
