    American Collectors Insurance

I just received a email from American Collectors Insurance Company stating that my 1966 Corvette is a Certified Medallion - Level Collectible Vehicle. In the next few days I will be receiving a Certification from the Insurance Company. Once I receive this Certification I will post a picture of it.

Is this an award from the insurance company?

I wouldn't put much stock in that "award". I got the same email, and I haven't been with ACIC for over a year.
I switched to Nat. Corvette Museum Ins.

        Michael,

Thank you. I was not sure what it was or what it meant.

That's what I was thinking too. Participation trophy.

Couldn't get me away from National Corvette Museum with dynamite...they stood by me for a huge claim, no questions asked and the rates never budged - added my 1001 Retro T-Bird on the policy last year.

which is precisely why you should be calling the NCM for a rate and coverage quote.

Switched my insurance to NCM and saved $700 on my 15, 65 and 67. Just limited to 6000 miles on the 15 which is fine I do around 5000 a year.

Agree with Frank, I also had a huge claim and the other guy was underinsured. Very few questions great service, took care of everything. I was out of town with my Corvette when some kid T-boned me.

                      Re: American Collectors Insurance

I meant 2002 T-bird in the post above, not 1001 (good grief). A funny aside...when my car got wrecked NCM assigned a fellow split window coupe owner as my adjuster. So there was no haggling over the one-year-only repair parts required or the cost, etc.

After the car was towed to the body shop, I stopped in and the owner told me that NCM had called him and told him that the car was to be done to my standards and basically there would be no half measures even before the car arrived. The owner said that in his 48 years in the business that that had never happened before. The shop owner was Tim Burke who had painted one of the 67 L-88 cars owned by Roger of Roger's Corvette.

Once the body shop dug into the car they found add'l damage and I filed a supplemental claim for an amount that prob exceeds what most here would ever incur. NCM signed off on the second claim without a hiccup.
