Question On Clip That Attaches To The Steering Column For 66 Vette

Picture below is the special clip that holds the wires that start from the top of steering column and
work their way down. Question: How is the base of the clip attached to the steering column? Some
type of glue perhaps? Does it "snap" on someway? Thanks in advance>Larry

there's a hole in the column that the little spring tongue on the clip slides into.
