    Seat Belts

Has anybody used Corvette Seat Belts and Classics in UT. I am in England and finding it difficult to source belts. Looking for a set of 67 bright blue lap belts with retractors and boots , complete supply.

I have two sets of factory red 63 belts I want restored, one early web stitch design and one later design. May be a Santa Clause gift to myself.

Not to hijack but what is a typical cost for the work? - I've heard like $650 and up.. The hardware on both sets is good but the webbing is threadbare and worn. And unsafe.

Charlie has webbing and can sew the belts together no problem. Tags, if you want those are no longer available I'm told. If the hardware is good and does not need re-chromed, it will be a lot less than that and he will do an excellent job. There are also different levels of webbing (very close to original and exactly like original) which also effect price. He's done 3 sets for me and can work within a budget depending on what level you want in return.

Good luck i asked the same question about how much it cost to reskin valve covers and got no answer. I had a set fo 65 belts done by charlie in the 90's and according to my records they were $300 dollars. maybe some one will chime in wuith a current price. But if they are $600 that is about 1/6th of the price of the original car.

Jerry MacNeish charged me $85 to "reskin" some C1 aluminum valve covers about 8 year ago. Now you have an answer.

Charlie did mine for my 66 and they came back GREAT. He is a little "grumpy" but knows his stuff. I had some extra belts, sent them to him (with his permission), and we worked out a good deal for both of us.
                            Good Luck

That's a good thought - maybe I can barter one set of my 63 belts for a discount to restore the second set; I certainly don't need two.
