    65 Rear License Plate area

Is there a rectangular nut riveted to the body behind the rear license plate bezel? The A.I.M. does not show one. I'm just check as I complete the bodywork. Thanks

The license plate bezel is held in place by plastic nuts pushed into the square holes both upper and lower. The screws expand them and hold them securely.

Thanks for your response. My question is regarding the two lower round holes that have holes riveted nuts. The A.I.M. does not show that riveted nut were installed. I want to make sure that I don't have to install.

      Here's the picture.

      Thanks, in advance...

Here is what a Mar64 has. It is the same treatment as all the rear valance screws have, only rotated 90 degrees.

Thanks Alan. My '65 does not appear to ever had these riveted nuts above the license plate plastic nuts, and I have not found in the '65 A.I.M. that they were supposed to be installed. I wonder if GM deleted these as a cost-saving measure because they were not needed?

I found in my 64 AIM in section1 sheet B7.00 try that area. Agree, if GM found was not necessary they could save a lot of $

Thanks Alan. I was looking at the page wrong in my A.I.M. Yes, a 65 car has the riveted nuts also. I made some nuts yesterday out of some steel plate.

              Thanks
