    '67 Horn Contact Screw #159612

I need to know the size and type of this screw. LIC lists one type and Paragon lists another. Thanks in advance.

From my 1963 Chevrolet Parts Catalog (Gr. 8.913), page 1166.

      David,
Thank you very much. Paragon's are clutch head (don't know where they got that idea from). LIC are a pan head. I'll check Home Depot and Lowe's first.

        Leif,
I found the following #8-32 screws in my collection:
        On left: 0.31" dia. Phillips head #8-32 X 1/2"
Center: 0.31" dia. Phillips Head #8-32 X 1/2" with "star" lock washer
On Right: 0.37" dia. Phillips Head #8-32 X 5/8".......I would say that these would be a good substitute for the GM 159612 #8-32 X 5/8" Pan Head Cross Recess Machine screws. I would have to compare them to the 159612 screws on my 1966 Corvette.

Grp. 8.913 #159612 8-32 x 5/8 is correct. Finish is cad or zinc head diameter .322 max .306 min.

screws center and right wrong -- left screw correct look if cad or zinc finish

            David L and David B,
Thank you both for the additional information. As an aside, the Paragon clutch head screws also had the star lock washer included...strange.

Just a follow-up. Ended up buying a box of 30 screws at Home Depot for $6. If anyone ever needs any, I have a lifetime supply.

                Leif,
                Are the screws #8-32 X 5/8"? They look like #8-32 X 1/2".

                  Dave,
They are #8-32 X 1/2". Couldn't find #8-32 X 5/8" anywhere. These provide plenty of "bite". Mismatched screws that were in there were only 3/8" and were holding.
