    Coil Springs

Who makes the best coil springs for a 67 BB no air. I now have F-41 but the ride is way to stiff.

Probably Eaton Detroit Spring. I believe they are the only manufacturer of actual reproduction coil springs although all their springs might not be 100% true to the originals. I believe that most of the Corvette parts suppliers sell Eaton springs. Or, you could look for NOS GM #3888250. Good luck, though.

By the way, I'm not surprised that you find the F-41 springs too stiff. I would NEVER, EVER want or use these springs on a street driven car. NEVER, EVER. I have NOS examples, front coil and rear leaf in my collection [not for sale] but I'd NEVER, EVER use them.

I am replacing coil F-41 coil springs in my 66. What would you recommend as a replacement for the F-41 springs?

I called Eaton and all of their springs are powder coated. Is there a supplier of coil springs that does not powder coat or paint?

            Re: Coil Springs

In 2010 I bought front coils from Long Island for a 67 L68 , no ac, no F41 car I restored. They had coils from a source that were made as originals for cars being judged. Well the car sat perfect and got NCRS Top Flights and Bloomington Gold. I hope they still have correct springs available.
