Diehard 1150 12 volt battery jumper

I like to use my jumper as a 12 vlt power source to perform 12 volt DC circuit testing. I use the cigarette lighter receptacles and plug a male connector into the receptable connected to two leads (+, -) that I attach to the component to be tested. Now I am not getting any voltage fom the receptacles but I am getting 12 volt at the large clamp leads. Are these receptacles fused o coul they both be bad?

I'm not clear what you're describing.

You have a two wire jumper cable with a cigarette lighter adapter on one end and separate clamps on the two wires on the other end?

It's plugged into the car's cigarette lighter with the other end clamped to a "component". No voltage from the cigarette lighter, but voltage from the component? Is that right?

It sounds like he is inserting a male 2 wire plug into the female 12VDC outlet, and now the outlet is dead. However, the jumper clamps still have power.

The owners manual says that it has a fuse on the 12VDC circuit. See page 9.

For testing the old fuel injections chokes etc I use a AC/DC converter. I can dial in the voltage and the amps. Works perfect.
I use it for testing the solenoids also. I think you would like this Dave. If so I will get you the info on it. John
