    1964 battery gauge

    With the battery hooked up and the key off both gauge wires are hot. Should they be? The needle doesn't move.

      Only if you want it to work?

      Really it not a battery gauge but a potential difference gauge. It measures the voltage from two points and deflects the pointer.
