Power brake conversion issues c 2

I have a 1966 327 .i am going to drive this car ,not get it judged . I changed the original brakes from the the original single cylinder to a 1967 style dual cylinder set up . The car was body off , so i just got everything for a 1967 , correct reproduction ( lines , distribution block, master cylinder.etc ) i bought a new ( looks like original ) power brake booster . I went for the first test drive in it. The brakes almost feel like there is no "power" assist . It stops but pedal is super hard to push to stop and stopping distance is terrible . Almost like the master cylinder is not being applied enough . Any thoughts ? What am i missing ?

    Thanks for any help ,
