Corvette Central 350 2" exhaust fit - recent experiences?

I ordered a 2" exhaust for my '69 350/300 (no hit, no accidents, no frame work, unrestored). The right side fit perfectly. The left side downpipe is perfect with the end lining up the same as the right side at the center hanger. The welded muffler/pipe is not long enough to fit over the downpipe. When hanging from the rear hanger the front edge of the pipe is only long enough to reach the edge of the downpipe.
Pulling the muffler and pipe forward to slide over the downpipe results in the rear hanger flattening out due to the strain of the forward pull. Pictures show the comparison between the right and left sides. The old exhaust also fit perfectly.
I contacted CC and they sent a replacement but the replacement is identical.
Has anyone recently installed a 350 exhaust from CC? Did it fit properly?

Purchase was 3 years ago for my 1980. Engine exhaust to catalytic converter (front "Y" pipe") fit was correct, however, the exhaust ran too close to my automatic transmission. Gap specified in A.I.M. - too close to linkage. I expect it would be perfect for a manual transmission, just not for an automatic. Time between purchase and installation attempt was delayed with life getting in the way. I just restored and reused my original front "Y" pipe. One of these days, I'll do some adjustments with saw and welder. Rest of system was fine.

I ordered a 2.5" CC exhaust for my '70 a couple of months ago during a free shipping sale. Installation is waiting on a few chassis restoration projects. I'll post how it fits, hopefully in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the responses. It looks like the short straw is the pipe section that connects to the the downtube and goes to the first bend. I can weld the needed length - about 1.25" - in an undetectable spot and it will be good to go. Updates later.

I purchased a complete 2.5 inch N11 exhaust system for my 64 from CC about 2 years ago - one side fit perfectly, the other not so much. The long section that included the muffler (this is a welded system) would not fit. I took a few pics, called CC and then sent them the pics. They sent me a shipping label to send the questionable piece back. They sent me a good one in return - all in about 7 -10 days. No charge - no arguments. I called CC to ask what they found - a tech rep told me that the pieces were not laying in the jig properly when the pieces were welded together - it never would have fit - their problem. It was unfortunate that there was a defect but the resolution process was excellent.

                Tom,

I have a '69 convertible with the base 300 HP 350 CID motor and a 4-speed tranny. Very original, never hit.

I installed the CC 2 inch system with welded mufflers about 6 months ago. I did not have the fitment issue you are experiencing.

Everything bolted-up very easily on mine. The only issue I have is that the short pipes coming out the back of the mufflers (where the exhaust tips clamp on) are at slightly different angles. This makes my exhaust tips look slightly non-uniform when viewed from the back of the car. I plan to take the car to an exhaust shop to see if one of those short pipes can be bent slightly to alleviate this minor issue. (No one else notices, but I do, so it bothers me.)
