John Pirkle?

Years ago at Bloomington Gold my wife and I would sit in the shade of the vendor tent of John Sr. & John Jr. Pirkle and shoot the breeze with them. This was always an enjoyable time. My 1962 generator and 002E voltage regulator were restored to show and judging standards by these guys. I know that John Sr. has passed a number of years ago, and this hobby lost a very valued member, but what has become of John Jr. who took over the restoration business they both ran? Health concerns of mine (she*t hit the fan type) took me out of the Corvette info circle for several years, so can someone update me on the status of John Pirkle Jr. and his restoration business, and a possible contact number?

Agree, John was a great loss to the hobby. A fine man and a gentleman. As I recall John Jr. closed the business about a year after his dad passed. Need to look elsewhere to have your parts restored.

For generator, consider Ken Bruno.

For the regulator, there is a guy who just recently started advertising in the Driveline. He was doing other items before this, but is now addressing regulators.

Ken Bruno told me he bought all of the pickle inventory
He recently did a few jobs for me and he is very meticulous on his work
very highly recommended

I had an awful experience with John Jr
He took my customers money twice (over 800.00) and kept a 59 270hp generator
He took over a year to return phone calls and never kept a promise.
He is unreliable and untruthful - and coming from me is huge.
His dad is rolling over (his dad was a wonderful person)

Try Gener-Nator.com.
I have not used them. They say they convert the old generator regulators to solid state when they do upgrades to generators.
