    1971 LT1 Cylinder Heads

Looking at the possibility of having to rebuild the cylinder heads on my 1971 LT1 . . .

Realizing that NOS/OEM cylinder head parts are almost all non-existent, does anybody have a list of 1971 LT1 NCRS recommended replacement cylinder head/engine parts that I could use as a reference to begin my part search?

    Ray,

Other than finding the correct casting numbers, is there something else you're looking for?
These are not difficult heads to find. Or, for yours, new valves and springs are easily obtainable from most of the usual sources. In fact, if your machine shop checks your spring pressure ahead of time you may not need new springs at all.

Yes, most of the original cylinder head component parts for the 1971 LT-1 application are GM-discontinued. However, you can obtain most, if not all, of the parts from Federal Mogul (now called Driv). These may not be fully up to OEM standards but they are high quality parts and will serve you well. They'll last longer than you're ever going to need them.
