Did big block cars have a front sway bar? Judging manual says big block cars were not equipped with steering stabilizers??

Yes. BB cars had sway bars

Dave,

Table C-1 on Page 185 of the 1967 7th edition 2nd printing TIMJG describes all '67 Front Suspension Anti-Roll (Stabilizer) bars.

Page 189 discusses the Steering Stabilizer - which is a shock absorber - not related to the Anti-Roll (Stabilizer) bars - and not used on big blocks as you say in your post...
