rebuilding the relay rod
What's involved in rebuilding my 69 manual steering relay rod? The boot has a tear in it. Is it as simple as removing the cover and replacing the boot? What about the ball stud and seats? Although I do not see or feel any play in it, should I do them also? I haven't found a how-to on doing this. Remove the cotter pin and cap and replace the stud and seats? Is there any torque spec for reinstalling the cap? Since i have the steering box out for a rebuild, now may be a good time to do this. Thanks. Mark
