1953-55 Corvette trinket

A friend found this left over in one of his storage units. It is a piece of non-ferrous material with a gold tone. It has the 1953-55 emblem at the top with Corvette in the middle with 1953- 1955 on the bottom.

It is about 1 1/2 in tall and 1 3/8 in wide. The outside edges are serrated like a postage stamp that has been torn out of the middle of a sheet.

Any ideas about where it came from?

John, Can't say I've ever seen one before but it certainly is unique. I wonder if there was ever a US stamp just like that??
