66 console

i am putting in the console on my 66 with power windows. Do the side panels by the radio go in before or after the console? i know it is a tight fit.

Mel,
Install the console first. Leave the console screws up by the radio panels loose. Slide the radio panels behind the console, install the radio panel screws and snug down, then snug the console screws down last.

I just replaced my speaker and installed my reconditioned radio and I did not remove the console. The panels just lift out with console in place. So I would say console first and then panels.
