58-62 with A/T

Is there anyone who has a 58 to 62 Corvette with an automatic transmission and the original firewall insulation who would be willing to take a look at the insulation for me and see if it has a little round circle partially cut out and located just above the carpet and to the left of the steering column as in the attached photos? Thank you!

Rick my "60" vette with AT has a plug in that cut out that you show in the pictures you posted.2020-10-07 10.14.23.jpg2020-10-07 10.15.02.jpg

My car has the original insulation that is cut out around that plug.

Stephen,

Thanks for taking the time to check your car and include pictures. I'm sure that plug was removed for the clutch rod in cars with manual transmissions and left in for those with automatics.
