Success at last. Tried the Freeze-Off and let it penetrate for about 10 minutes. Then tried the Snap-On tool and off they came
both drivers and passenger side. Can I tell you it was the Freeze-Off conclusively>>NO. I had put other types of penetrating oil
several days ago. All I know it worked this time with the Freeze-Off. Never did have to drill through the top of the "cap". Next step
is to run a Dremel with a small wire brush over the spline to clean up and to be sure no burrs are on there. Before installing the
N.O.S. Trico Arms I will put a little white grease in them and also put a couple of drops of Freeze-Off on the car splines to make them
a little smaller. Comments always welcome and thanks to all on the responses. Larry

Regardless of the method, you got the result you wanted - make sure you put the wiper transmission shaft covers on (if they're missing) before reinstalling the arms. https://www.ebay.com/i/174432560199?...rchantid=51291

IIRC, Gary Chesnut wrote a Restorer article several years ago about Freeze-Off being a superior product. He was right. I've been using it for many tasks and it's the best.

In the case of the seized wiper arm removal, applying it to the transmission shaft is the desired method. Objective is to shrink the shaft spline area, which sounds like what you did. Great product.

It really got me aware in to its capabilities when I tried to free a C1 heater blower motor shaft inner bushing from a armature. Saved it.

I'm a '63 guy - so I'll let those that know more tell you about the wiper transmission shaft covers; I thought they were used on all 66s and 67s even though vendors would have you believe all midyears have them (but they can work on earlier cars most certainly).

You've got a good memory although IIRC it was for the Texas Chapter Talepipe newsletter, appreciate the plug.

BTW, back in the 60-70's we used to use the wart remover freeze spray. Freeze Off works best when dissimilar metals are stuck together.

FWIW guys, Kroil oil http://www.kanolabs.com/ is the best penetrating oil I've ever used.

Final picture outcome. Original Trico Arms/Holders/Blades on an Original Born With "Ottawa Windshield" (LOF). Thanks again
for all the responses. Larry P.S. Who would have thought that the Windshield outlasted the Wiper Arms for born with originallity. One never
knows when dealing with old cars what will be found.
