1970 LT1 Fuel Tank

I replaced the original fuel tank in my 1970 LT1, because it had some pin holes cause by rust and was leaking. I used a decent reproduction tank in my car that I don't plan on ever having judged.

I have the old tank and I am wondering if it has any value and is worth getting it refurbished, or has value to sell to someone absolutely needing to have an original tank? I don"t want to trash it and have it be gone forever, if there is some value to it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

The replacement/reproduction tanks are virtually identical to the originals so I don't know why anyone would want a corroded, leaking original tank. The Quanta reproduction even has the O.L. Anderson embossed logo on it (which can't even be seen when the tank is mounted in the car). But, who knows? I always recommend replacement of any tank with problems as a fuel tank is a major safety-related component.

By the way, your tank should have an integral pressure vacuum valve. These can fail and I know of no replacement available.
