Were doors painted on or off car

On my Sep. build 69, were the doors painted on or off the car during the body paint process? I know the hinges and shims were, but not sure about the doors. Common sense tells me they were off, because of the front needing to be painted blackout, but I thought I would ask. Mark

Doors were on the car when painted through all of C3 years.

Black out took place after body color, but before windshield and interior install.

Thanks. Terry do you know who sells the correct brush on weatherstrip adhesive? I bought some years ago, but it isnow hard as a rock. Also, does anyone make a correct 2" carbon steel exhaust system for the 69 427? All the usual suspects, have only aluminized or S/S. Thanks for the replies. Mark

        Mark,
I believe most people use yellow 3M weatherstrip cement. It is not what the factory used originally; in that was clear and turned yellow with age.

No aftermarket exhaust is 100% correct. I believe Gardner will provide carbon steel exhaust system on request. I believe some welding is required on their systems. Corvette Central also can provide carbon steel on request. Call and ask either supplier as my information is not necessarily up to date.
