I have the transmission out of my late '61 with: Case T-10 1-C, WF81-2 numbers & T10-7B and 6 1 61 on Tail housing, I don't see a serial number on the case pad. Doesn't really have room for it. Serial # not mentioned in JM Any idea if a serial number should be here?

Re: T10 Serial number
My bad. It is the stamp on passenger cars 300hp and 409's that DID NOT all get stamped is what I was thinking about.
Both engines and transmissions were to be stamped at the factory as Corvette, but not all factories complied. I owned both a Bel Air 327/300 four speed car and a 409/409 Impala SS that were not stamped with the vin #s.Over 80 Corvettes of fun ! Love Rochester Fuel Injection 57-65 cars.
