I have a cast iron thermostat housing that has the number 60536065 stamped on the underside. Does anyone know the year and application this housing was used for?IMG_1762.jpg

I don't think this is a GM part. Certainly, the numbers on it are not GM part numbersIn Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Thermostat Housing #60536065
Joe, the research I did came up with 1965-72 BB Chevrolet 396/427 Camaro, Chevelle, and Corvette. It seems like they split the number #6053 6065 in two parts only using #6053. Maybe this is just a casting number. I asked the question here to get a more definitive answer. Thank you for your response.- Top

No Chevrolet V-8 engine, Corvette or otherwise, that I am aware of ever used a CAST IRON outlet of this configuration. Many 1966-73 Chevrolet V-8 engines did use an ALUMINUM outlet of a similar configuration. This may be an aftermarket, cast iron copy of that outlet or an aftermarket outlet for some non-Chevrolet application. As I mentioned, the cast-in numbers are not GM part numbers and they do not appear to me to be even derivatives of any GM casting or part number. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
