Chrome air cleaner on 67 L79

I recently asked a question about aluminum valve covers and received several responses. In one of the responses Tom sent a picture of his engine and I noticed the air cleaner cover. Is this an original cover and if so how did you get it so shiny? Thanks to everyone for being so helpful in answering my questions. Dennis

Thanks again for your help. I have tried to clean my original air cleaner but so far have not gotten it to shine any where near to the one in the photo. Thanks again

Originals and select repro ones are flashed chromed. They will be shinny but not very deep. Most reproductions are show chrome

The one in the photo is from LIC. Most of their products are correct or as close as available reproductions and they are good about clearly stating what you are getting.
