A 53-55 sill plate switcheroo with 56-57
Went to install the stainless steel sill plates on a 54 I'm restoring and discovered they are for a 56-57! (does that part carry on to 1960 or even up to 62?)
Years ago I sent mine out to be polished and never did unwrap them when they returned. Lesson learned. Check everything as soon as it comes back! I always check on the chrome plated parts but haven't paid enough attention to the polished parts.
Meanwhile I'm stuck with a perfect pair of sill plates that don't fit. Anyone have a spare set of 53-55 sill plates or need the later parts I have?
