    1963 Antenna Restoration

My original antenna is frozen in the down/collapsed position and won't budge. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to "unfreeze" this antenna? I've tried dripping penetrating fluid to no avail.

    Thanks

      Ed,

Me too! Yes, it's off the car so I can lay it down to soak in the mixture you mentioned. 50/50 mix?

      Thanks,
      Jerry

          Yes, Gerald, a 50/50 mix.

Gerald, I am sure the 50/50 mixture is fine. But here's what I have used. Aero Kroil penetrating oil. Once the antenna is free I follow up with Silikroil.
              Works like magic. John
