Quick question for Joe Lucia or anybody on fuel line to fuel pump

On a C2 Corvette when the fuel line from tank to fuel pump is taken off at the pump fuel
should flow out of the line; correct?(Gravity fed since tank is above the fuel pump) If it is not
flowing can we assume that somewhere in the line is plugged and the problem is not with the
fuel pump? eg.>Sock in the tank. Thanks>Larry

Possibility, for sure, Larry. Remove both lines and blow some compressed air through the line...cap off the fuel tank end.

There is a short rubber hose between the tank and the metal fuel line. Disconnect it - if fuel flows you know the problem is in the line that runs above the frame - if it does not flow freely you know the problem is in the tank. If it is the long metal line you are aware that you have to lift the body off the frame to remove and replace it. Good luck.... for your sake I hope the problem is inside the tank.

Yes, fuel should flow out the line at the pump. In fact, this is why I recommend treating fuel pumps as a maintenance item and replacing them before they fail. If one fails, all the fuel in the tank will flow out at the pump. This happened to me many years ago and the entire contents of my tank flowed out onto the garage floor one night. I'll NEVER forget it.

Mission Accomplished>The culprit was the fuel pump. Who would think a NOS #6415616 would not work? We put another one
on that we knew worked and fired the engine(L75) up. Want to thank everyone who responded. Got to know a lot more about
the "sock" in the tank; may have to cross that bridge in future. Hope to get this buggy judged next year. Thanks again>Larry
