Thanks for the detailed description. My cover has all the features you discuss, so I guess the only difference from the production covers would be the color of the unpainted urethane. Hopefully, it was a structural improvement over the original. After all, it is now almost 20 years old and no signs of problems-----yet!! I hope you will be able to post your pictures.

Thanks for the pix. One difference I note between your original and my service replacement cover is that mine does not have the raised area at the opening of the "C". I wish I would have saved my destroyed originals like you did but I threw them out before I got involved with you guys in the rewrite of the TIM&JG. My memory is that both my original covers had a yellow date as does yours.- Top
