'63 interior door lock (need advice)

The interior door lock does not work on drivers side. All other locking/unlocking functions work as designed.

I know there are a few rods in there, but does anyone have a good method of trouble shooting the problem and a good fix (before I put the door panel back on).

Look at Sec 1 sheet E7.00 of the AIM
My first guess (& that's what it is) would be the location of #3 Lock Asm - the rod direction seems like it can be reversed

Dan you maybe able to roll the window down and peak inside door with a light and see if something is unhooked.

This is for a later midyear but comparing the AIM pictures the mechanism hasn't changed from 63...the pictures might show you where the problem area is...
