How to remove 69-76 Windshield Header Corner Mouldings

    Two questions:

    1. What's involved with removing the windshield header corner mouldings? I see a screw at the end in the jamb, and a screw on top that goes through the end of the center T-top moulding. Looking at photos of the part, it looks like the corner moulding has a slot underneath for this screw. Can it be removed after removing these fasteners, or is there more to it? I'm hoping the center T-top or pillar moldings don't have to be disturbed.

    2. Any experience with the reproduction pieces from the Corvette parts houses? Both of mine are badly pitted.

The windshield has to come out to get to at least one of the screws, as I recall.

Really? It looks like it will come out with three screws. I just want to make sure before I start pulling and prying.

You cannot get to one screw without removing the windshield or without damaging the windshield.

        Kind Regards,

Thanks guys. I guess I'll live with the pitting.
