Hello Does anyone have a 1065 parts catalog? I need the number for Valve Freon Control Suction throttling valve and or Regulator STV absolute pressure regulator. My 1980 only lists 5910498 whic is for a 66 but not correct in appearance for a 63-65 though it may function the same I am not sure.

Hi Bill,
My Oct 1964 GM parts book in group 9.198 (Valve Assy. and Parts, Air Conditioning Evaporator By-Pass) shows a 5910471. It's listed for a 1963-65 Corvette with C.A.C. and called refrigerant control. It had list price of $32.75. On the next line is the 5910498 and was listed at that time for only a 1964 pass. with C.A.C. It was called a freon control. They also list a 6550428 called a REGULATOR throttling valve absolute vacuum for 1963-64 Corvettes. This had a $13.45 price tag. Hope this helps.

GM #5910471 was the part number for the suction throttling valve for 1965 Corvettes. It was discontinued without supersession in April, 1978.
